Troubleshooting MAZDA Infotainment Issues
If you’re looking for information on how to reset Mazda infotainment systems, and how to make the most of your Mazda tech and connectivity features, Modern Mazda is here to help. We don’t just match you with the perfect vehicle for the road ahead — we make sure your car is driving smoothly on every ride to come, and it all starts with a little system troubleshooting. Read on to learn some simple fixes for common infotainment problems.
My MAZDA Screen Goes Black
No one wants to see their infotainment system go black, especially if you’re depending on the screen for navigation while on the go. One of the most common reasons this occurs is because the driver or passenger accidentally hit the Power Off, or volume, button. Begin by hitting the power button again, to see if there’s a simple fix. If your screen stays blank, our team at Modern Mazda will help you get to the root cause.
My MAZDA Screen Is Frozen
If you can see images on your screen, but you can’t cycle through or select them, you may need to do a hard reset. The good news is that your vehicle doesn’t even have to be parked to make a reset work. Located around the multifunction command control knob, you’ll find the Mute, Nav, and Back buttons. Hold them all at once for at least ten seconds to hard reset your system.
My MAZDA Infotainment System Still Isn’t Working
Did you try the hard reset and come upon the same issue? That’s typically an indication that the software in your MAZDA CONNECT™ system needs to be updated. You can do this in the setting sections, or by bringing your vehicle to Modern Mazda.
