It’s also available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, which uses an e-SKYACTIV®-PHEV 2.5-liter engine and electric motor to deliver up to 323 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

Technology Features

There’s always a focus on innovation in Mazda SUVs and these two are no exception. The 2025 Mazda CX-5 features an expansive 10.25-inch full-color center display, while the 2025 Mazda CX-70 has a 12.3-inch display. They’re both equipped with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, although the Mazda CX-70 features wireless capabilities as standard; the Mazda CX-70 also comes standard with Alexa Built-in capabilities, which isn’t available in the Mazda CX-5.

Cabin Space

Size is arguably the biggest difference between these two SUVs. The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is an agile and compact SUV, making it easier to park and maneuver. It includes seating for five and up to 59.3 cubic feet of cargo space if you fold the rear seats flat.

The Mazda CX-70 also offers seating for five, although the spacious midsize SUV provides up to 75.3 cubic feet of cargo space, with the rear seats folded down.
