My wife and I needed a car with 3rd row seating to support our family’s needs. After narrowing down our choice between the Mazda CX-9 and the Acura MDX, we decided to go with the CX-9 Grand Touring. The decision was based not only on price, but the fact that the quality and extent of features between both vehicles were surprisingly close to one-another. Dollar-for-dollar, the CX-9 was the much better deal.
Once we made our decision, it came time to find a vehicle. We wanted a pre-owned car with certain, specific characteristics. This proved to be a challenge for the dealership we were working with originally. We started looking on our own and found just the model we wanted at Modern Motors. Not only did the car meet all criteria but it was certified pre-owned as well.
We were not able to see the car right away but needed to make a quick purchase decision. So Mike Keene with Internet Sales did a video recording of the car and sent it to us via e-mail right away. This is a fantastic sales feature and really made all the difference – it allowed us to make an informed decision, whether to see the car in person. All of our phone and e-mail communication with Mike was extremely responsive and quick. It helped the whole process go smoothly.
When we arrived later that day to see the car, it had been washed and was fully ready for us to inspect. We were introduced to John “The Fish” Salmon who took the time to explain the (amazing) lifetime Powertrain Warranty Modern Mazda offers and the service department. He then went through all the features of the car with us, to make sure we knew how everything operated.
While this is probably standard procedure for all dealerships, John really went the extra mile, and even stayed past closing to make sure we had everything we needed and answered all of our questions. Mark MacDonald the business manager wrote up the sale and had all the paperwork ready for us without making us wait around.
We were also quite impressed with the service department. My wife who works mostly from home, will most likely need to take our two young ones with her, when she goes in for regular maintenance. But with WiFi, a play area, flat screen TV, and vending machines, she’ll be able to get her work done and watch the kids while the car is being worked on. They really have a great set-up!
I’ll be sure to recommend Modern Motors to anyone in the market for a car. Everyone we dealt with exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t have asked for a better buying experience. Thanks!

Before the day gets hectic and the weeks pass, etc... I wanted to make sure I sent you a quick note to tell you what a pleasure it was dealing with Modern Motors and especially Aaron Jandro. Aaron worked very hard for us and Modern Motors to put this deal together (and believe me, it wasn't an easy task!). He was also very thorough in explaining to us the rest of the services that Modern Motors has to offer when it comes to maintaining one's vehicle.

Good Morning Jodi,
by the time you read this, youll probably already realaize that I bought the car.
I think I fell in love with it when I saw it. I want to thank you, John, Dan and Mark.
you all made purchasing a car a fun, painless task. All dealerships should take some notes from you all.
Mark was great in securing the financing, explaining everything. John was great in helping me become acclamated with the car.
Dan was friendly and very outgoing, and you were just a pleasure to deal with on the telephone and online.

Right now I can say this your team is outstanding. Right from the beginnings of hearing your add on 92.5 to emailing and talking with the Internet Manager, then coming in and meeting our salesperson. He was a great guy very easy to talk to and talked about the product in a knowledgeable way. I felt at home at your show room and would recommend you to my friends in a minute. This e-mail is a couple months overdue, but better late than never. My wife and I would like to thank you for the wonderful service we received from Modern Motors as we went through the buying process for our new car. We first went looking for a new Mazda at a dealership closer to where we live, but were not very impressed by the service we received. I have many friends who live in Thomaston and they recommended Modern Motors. It was well worth the drive. Our sales person was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable and I never felt the "pressure" to buy the car. The entire process was smooth and actually easy, something I didn't feel when I purchased my first car. Five months later and we are still extremely happy with our Mazda5. I have told everyone I know that they should consider Modern Motors when the time comes to buy a car. Thanks again for everything.
